Day 3: September 19, 2023 (National Museum of Scotland and Ceilidh)

Delia, Lia & Sara.

Today was a big day for all of us. Mia turned 18!!!!!!! We prepared some pancakes for her and started celebrating her big day. At 10 o'clock this morning, we embarked on a journey to the National Museum. We had time to explore the museum and learned many new interesting facts about Scottish history and geology.

We had various tasks to complete. These tasks would not only guide our exploration but also deepen our understanding of the geographic location of Scotland and the fascinating story of how it came to be. The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly meeting Dolly, the famous cloned sheep. She stood there as a testament to human ingenuity and the boundless possibilities of science.

After the museum tour, we were granted some free time to explore the city. Edinburgh, with its cute coffee shops, stunning architecture and attractions felt like a place where history and modernity are combined in perfect harmony. The atmosphere was magical. Some of us decided to go on a shopping marathon. The charming (book) shops and the thrift stores that lined the streets made our afternoon perfect.

Tonight was a blast! We went to Summerhall to learn Scottish dance (ceilidh), which btw. is not an art form, it’s a contact sport!! It was so much fun. Laughing and dancing the night away with friends made it the best time ever.

Now we’re very tired but really pleased with this wonderful day.
